Commercial Solar Panels Hampshire

Commercial solar installers covering all of Hampshire
Commercial solar panels for Hampshire businesses, care homes, farms and community buildings

From Southampton and Portsmouth to Waterlooville, Winchester, Basingstoke and the New Forest, we design and install rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV, battery storage and EV charging, all fitted by our own employed team.

Hampshire is one of the busiest parts of our commercial work. Our head office near Wimborne sits right on the Dorset and Hampshire border, so Ringwood, Fordingbridge and the New Forest are on our doorstep, and Southampton is under an hour away. We regularly work across the whole county, from coastal sites on Hayling Island to farms in the north.

As an MCS certified installer and NAPIT approved electrical contractor, we handle every stage in house: survey, design, the application to the local network operator, installation, commissioning and long-term maintenance.

Care homes are a strong fit for solar in Hampshire. They run around the clock, so daytime generation is almost all used on site, and the savings go straight back into the running costs. See all our commercial case studies.

Commercial solar services for Hampshire

Solar PV for business

Rooftop systems on warehouses, workshops, offices, care homes and clubhouses, and ground-mounted arrays for farms and larger sites. We size systems around when you use electricity, not just how much roof you have. More on our commercial solar PV service.

Battery storage

Store daytime generation for evenings and weekends, reduce peak-time imports and, with the right design, protect critical loads in a power cut. See commercial battery storage.

EV charging

Fleet, staff and customer charge points that can run on your own solar, as we did for Peters and May. See commercial EV charging.

Maintenance

Servicing, cleaning, monitoring and repairs for commercial systems, whoever installed them. See commercial solar maintenance.

How a commercial project works

1. Free site surveyWe assess the roof or land, the electrical intake and your usage, ideally from half-hourly meter data.
2. Design and quoteA system sized to your daytime demand, with expected generation and a clear written quote.
3. Grid application and planningWe apply to the network operator (usually under G99 for commercial systems) and check planning requirements.
4. Installation and handoverOur team installs and commissions the system, sets up monitoring and hands over all the certification.

Paying for commercial solar

Most businesses buy outright, because electricity used on site during working hours makes the payback strong. Business finance and, for larger sites, a power purchase agreement are also options. Solar equipment may qualify for capital allowances, so it is worth checking with your accountant.

Commercial solar questions from Hampshire businesses

Which parts of Hampshire do you cover?

The whole county, including Southampton, Portsmouth, Eastleigh, Chandler’s Ford, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Hayling Island, Waterlooville, Winchester, Romsey, Andover, Basingstoke, Ringwood, Fordingbridge, Lymington, New Milton and the New Forest.

Do you install solar on care homes?

Yes. We have installed systems at care homes including Sentinel Healthcare in Fordingbridge and Gorseway Nursing Home on Hayling Island. We plan the work carefully around residents and staff.

Can you install ground-mounted solar on a farm?

Yes. Grange Farm in Laverstoke is a 48 kWp ground-mounted system we designed and installed. Ground mounts are a good option where barn roofs are unsuitable or there is spare land.

How long does a commercial installation take?

Most projects take one to four months from design to commissioning, largely depending on the network operator’s approval time. The installation itself usually takes days to a few weeks.

Can solar charge our company vehicles?

Yes. We install workplace and fleet charge points and can set them up to make the most of your own solar generation.
