About Tekne
Tekne has more than 40 years of joinery, construction and manufacturing experience, producing bespoke furniture and joinery for private residences, restaurants and hotels from its head office and factory in Poole. A busy manufacturing site with a large roof made it an ideal candidate for commercial solar.
What we did
We assessed the factory's energy use, available roof space and sun exposure, then designed a 680 panel system using a structural engineer's report, shading analysis and the existing electrical layout. As an MCS certified installer and NAPIT accredited electrical contractor, we handled the DNO approval and compliance, installed the panels, connected them to central inverters and completed full testing, commissioning and monitoring set-up. Tekne used government tax incentives on the investment to shorten the payback period.
