When one home on a road gets solar, the neighbours often follow. In this case: three homes, one trusted installer. This is one of them.
The home and the goal
Three homes on this road chose us for their systems. The aim here was a strong daytime array with a battery to use more of the solar at home.
What we installed
- 17 x Aiko 455W all-black panels (7.74 kWp)
- Fox ESS H1 6kW hybrid inverter
- Fox ESS EP5 battery, 5.18 kWh
Why we designed it this way
A 7.74 kWp array makes good use of the roof, and the Fox ESS H1 hybrid inverter runs both the panels and the battery from one unit. The EP5 battery is a sensible starting size that stores the afternoon surplus for the evening.

How it works day to day
The battery lets the homeowner store excess solar and use it overnight or during peak-rate times, so more of the energy they generate is used in their own home.
Three homes, one road
Word of mouth is how a lot of our work arrives. Fitting three homes on the same road means the neighbours can compare notes, and it shows the kind of trust that comes from seeing a tidy, well-run installation next door.
Questions homeowners ask about a system like this
Can the Fox ESS battery be expanded later?
Fox ESS batteries are designed to be added to, and we check this at survey so there is room to grow.
Can neighbours book together?
Yes. Ask us when you get in touch. Where we can fit several homes on one road in a short window, it often helps with scheduling.
