It uses satellite imagery of your actual roof, your energy use and current tariffs, so it gives a strong picture of what your roof can do. Your exact system and price come from the DES team after a free site survey.
Is it really free and no obligation?
Yes. You get the design and estimated savings with no commitment. We will follow up to offer a survey, and you can say no.
Do I have to draw my own roof?
Yes, and it is the quick bit: tap each corner of your roof on the satellite map, pick the direction it slopes, and the tool does the rest. If the map says it has no imagery, press the minus button once or twice until your roof appears.
What happens after I get my design?
Tap to request your full quote and one of the DES team will get in touch to answer questions and arrange a free site survey, then send you an exact, fixed price. No pressure either way.
Do I need a south-facing roof?
No. East and west roofs perform well, and the tool automatically prioritises the best-producing parts of your roof.
Can I get a battery without solar?
Yes. Choose the battery-only option and the tool will size a hybrid inverter and battery for your home.
Is there VAT on solar and batteries?
Domestic solar panels and battery storage are currently 0% VAT in the UK, so there is no VAT to add on top of your DES quote.
