Boveys Down Farm: 69 kWp Solar, Colyton

How can we help?

Boveys Down Farm is a working farm and glamping business near Farway, Colyton, in East Devon. To reduce operating costs and strengthen its environmental credentials, it partnered with DES Renewable Energy to install a ground-mounted solar PV system that generates clean electricity onsite, lowers energy bills and supports its long-term sustainability goals.

Project overview

Boveys Down Farm commissioned DES Renewable Energy to install a 69 kWp solar PV system as a ground-mounted array. The installation comprised 150 x 460W Astronergy N7s 2.0 panels connected to a SolaX X3-MEGA 60kW inverter. The project aimed to reduce electricity costs, lower carbon emissions and enhance the farm’s long-term financial sustainability.
